Small Pairs preflop in cash room full 100bb buy in

So im talking about small pairs 2-7, 6handed, full buy ins.

Obviously im not talking about raising with these hands in early position/UTG etc. but would it be more profitable to raise with them in late position or in the blinds or just call?

I mean if they have a genuine hand they may re raise you, which pretty much takes you out of the pot...

but if you limp and they have a big hand, they will raise and you can call and get good set value in position, however your hand is very vulnerable to small blind + big blind having 4 overs and you never know where you are on a flop so its tough decision time.

I play 25c/50c NL for a while and still not sure often when to do this, i mean when i have a real big stack maybe 200bb and playing against other big stacks, i will raise it, but its just that 100bb mark makes it more difficult i find.

It also depends on the players you're playing how much you should raise.

Say you have a pair of 9-2 and you have the small blind. I'd usually raise 2x the big blind if there isn't a raise before me. If the big blind has a hand you're gone.

Never raise this in early position it'll just cost chips
