I suggest to people on the internet that play to never slow play their hands. Unless you have the nuts it is very important to bet your hand and to bet it strong. For some reason people like to think you are bluffing on the internet and will often call you down with a mediocre hand

Yes, I agree with that somewhat, because chances are you have the best hand at that point and then maybe the turn or river gives someone else a better hand and then thats how you lose the pot.
