no limits to limit poker...

Hey all - new to the forum but excited to see and read everything going on..... i play no limit trnys and s&g's, but i find limit games are better for building bankrolls.....it takes a lot longer to lose all your chips than no limit, and the chances of building bigger and better are - well - bigger and better....if you have trouble maintaining your stack, give limit a try - you may find what i did - alot more money to play the bigger buy-in trnys....gl

I think most people who start playing limit poker get frustrated playing limit poker because they "can't protect their hand" ...but I think coming from No limit you try to "force" your hand too much before you learn the real value of hands in limit poker...while they are the same preflop, there isn't any fancy odds after the flop and you might have to fold your suited AK after you don't hit and there is action infront of you...

limit is a much more volitile game. ur AK in lime even if u hit an A will be run down by a weaker ace prolly 50% of the time. imo limit is not about how much u win but about how much u can keep from losing. if u keep from losing alot even when premium hands do hit u on the flop then what u win will more often then not keep u in the green. AK with an A on the flop is not a very good hand in limit unless its like 100/200 limit.
