Yes I did mean "it's" ... Excuse me for a minor mistype .. The question he raised is how to not get personally offended .. You can't take any game play personal in poker .. Yes, human emotions are confusing .. Don't loose control of your own emotions while playing .. I've been playing for years and have done well for myself ... I am no professional but I've been very successful at winning my share by staying focussed.
As for my comment "Also, don't always be quick to act on betting, calling or raising." .. I've found the time you take to bet, call or raise can change the way your opponents play against you on a hand ... Granted, a fast bet from a flop will generally make them believe you hit something or have a higher pocket pair but I still prefer to take time to way all odds before I make my play. The more time you take, the more control over your own emotions and possibly the table you will have. The last thing you want is for others to see your true emotions ... They will learn to read you better and be more succsseful at taking your chips.
