slow playing aces
There is a time to slow play aces, near the end of a sit n go when there's only 3-4 players left and the blinds are rediculously high and you are in the small blind. At this point in the tournament, there is a pre-flop raise almost every hand in an attempt to steal the blinds. These raises are being made with very marginal hands most of the time because it's rare to find a great hand 3-4 handed. Therefore, flat calling in the small blind hardly ever looks like trapping, it looks like you just want to be priced in to see a flop. This will often cause the big blind to raise you because they think you're weak. furthermore, if you let the big blind get a piece of the flop you're going to get paid off.
