I never push aces pre-flop in Omaha. In my opinion Aces are hardly better than any other pair. Usually the winning hand will be a straight, full house, or flush. Having 2 of the same card only limits your options. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have aces full, but in my experience the aces in omaha will lose you a lot of money if you push them early.
People put WAY too much emphasis on having pocket pairs in omaha, I'd rather have a hand that has tons of flush and straight draws then AAxx if the xx cards are crap.
I feel the Aces are a good hand but by no means the best hand in Ohmaha. I agree that a majority of hands are won with straights, trips, flushs, and fullhouses. This hand is a whole other deal with Texas.

but if your aces are double suited it will not cost you much to see the flop and wind up with the nuts
from what i have observed, in a 6 player omaha table it is correct to push aces like theres no tomorrow preflop. If we are talking full tables, then yes, those aces are not that good
I do not know about Omaha, however, in holdem, I don't like to bet too high too fast with pocket aces. I have the worst of luck and end up losing to trip something.
