remember what the original goal was according to bush? to eliminate a serious threat to the american people, mainly by disarming hussein. there were no WMDs, so right there most of the point of going to Iraq goes down the drain. secondly, their new new goal of justifying the war is to bring peace and stability to Iraq, and so far theyve managed to put a washed up Hussein in jail and cause countless uprisings and inreased anger against the US throughout the middle east. The US appointed leader of Iraq may be paid to say differently, but most Iraqis are pissed off that the US felt it was neccesary to drop bombs on their country and kill countless thousands for a "better Iraq". And way to go Bush on putting enough troops on the ground to keep the peace. Theres going to be chaos there for a long long time.

i think the military will finish the job they started. Bush sent them over there to rid iraq of an evil dictator so what if there were no WMD the main goal was to rid those people of a man who killed them for fun and amusement. I am in the 82nd Airborne division out of Fort Bragg, NC. I spect 6 months in the deserts of Iraq. We are needed there to try to fix this place. It is a disgusting mess. If you have never been to a 3rd world country it is hard to understand what these people are living in. Some Iraqis, like anyone else, are afraid of the change because they have never seen anything else.
For example, there are a lot of diseased wild dogs just walking around with shit hanging out of there ass. An 2 occasions I saw Iraqis kill these dogs right there, cook it over a fire and offer it to us as they ate it. They don't even see this as being wrong. It is a different mindset and it shows that these people need help and shouldn't have to live like this. Just my thoughts.

Seriously, I am not pro Bush by any means, I voted for the lesser fo two evils. But as far as the WMD's go... There is plenty of information that the president is privy to that he will not, scratch that, he cannot tell the general public about, i.e. the source or the information itself. I am not a conspiricy theorist or anything, but I am totally convinced that there is a whole world of behind the scenes activities that we will never ever be aware of. But that is not the quetion, will we succeed? Absolutley not. We are in another world that does not want us there nor does it want peace. The middle east is dedicated to extremists and survive on anarchy. That is just my opinion and I am sure that once it is posted I will get a million people screaming at me. Oh well.....
