2 great hands against the same unlucky guy playing heads up!
The first one occured approximately a year ago. I had 2/6 of diamonds against a friends 7/8 offsuit. the flop game 3/4/5 all diamonds giving me the nut straight flush. Knowing that I probablyh wouldn't get any action on it I checked and he checked right behind me. Turn came the 6 of clubs giving him a large straight. He bet into me and I deliberated a bit and just called. Final card was of no significance but it wasn't a diamond. He pushed in the rest of his chips and I called as quickly as I could. With triumph on his face he said "I have a straight 4 thru 9" I said "DAmn that straight is higher than mine... but mine seem to all be diamonds!" He about died.
This last saturday in a tournament we were the final two people and he had about 2/3 of the total chips. After leveling up with him in chip count I got dealt pocket J's to his queen ten. flop came 10/K/A which left me very unhappy so I checked and he checked right behind me. Turn was another 10 giving him trips which he decided to slow play. River was a J giving me a full boat to his straight. I bet and he raised so I just pushed all in and he called giving me first place! I loved it
