putting the table on tilt
I was playing in a small casino on the out skirts of Vegas. I was playing 3-6 holdem. It was fairly early in the night for me, but I still had a sense of the table. Seemed to be a lot of locals who felt the were pretty good. I thought I would show them early how bad I was. So I raised with 46os. It was reraised and I capped. I think the whole table was in, maybe one player out. Flopped came 35 and a blank. A lot of betting. I was talking up a storm. Turn was a 2, I was betting, raising, and talking. My friend who was with me asked if I knew what I was doing, I told him I was getting ready to take a bunch of suckers down.
I don't remember the exact amount, but I am sure it was the biggest pot I've ever won in a 3-6 game.
I played very tight but aggressive when I had a hand the rest of the night. All I had to do was joke "4-6" every now and again and I got action on every hand I played. I won $900.00 in about 4 hours. I was the only winner at that table that night.
I don't really do that much any more. I used to play stupid early alot. I swear, those are the best payoff nights. For some reason, it kind of started to bother me to play stupid like that. Don't know why.
Just curious, who plays dumb? Does it work for you? What level/limit.
I also think this works so much better live than online. Online the players change so much and to many don't even notice it. And now I mostly play online.
