slow play meets slow play
I was playing an online nl holdem $200.00 max. buy in. In the big blind with a 3,5 of spades. One caller -no raise. Flop comes A2 of spades and another 2. I check, he checks, turn brings a 4 of spades (straight flush for me). I checked, he checked. Turn brings a blank. I make a small bet thinking he isn't going to call any bet, but I figured I try. He answers with a small raise, small raise back, and again. Ok he must have something decent size raise, he's all in, I call.
He shows an A2. He flopped the boat, slow played it until the river. I was slow playing the hand from the turn. I really thought from the get go he had nothing. I am sure he was thinking the same thing. Neither of us wanted to bet much thinking we wouldn't get called. So much for slow playing.
I am sure that it was the most raises I have ever seen up to the point of all in.
