Taking notes at a live game

Is it concidered bad to have a small notepad with you to keep track of certain stats or tendancies of players at your table that youll be playing all day with? Or should i just try to use my head?

I don't think threre is anything wrong with writing noites on your opponents. Its a good way to make sure you don't forget anything about therm. IN the past I have seen pros such as Gus Hanson write notes down about their own and others play at live tournamants.

If people can taunt you to try to get you off your game, I am sure that taking notes is probably not considered bad. The only problem is that you would show other players that your memory needs assistance which may be seen as a weakness. Just a thought ...

taking notes can be taken badly or not so, depends on those playing with, just becareful what you write down, if in doubt ask the tourney directors of where your playing, writting down wrong info can and will get you kicked out of a live casino not so much elsewhere, some take notes as memory not so good, get really angry/annoyed by slow play to write, oh and lastly never write down cards that come out, they may think your counting the cards. sure right down things like flush or str but not suit, believe me you dont want to get kicked out in a tourney or worse get kicked out for life. thats how i got kicked out of one casino, finally got allowed back into that one, after convincing and promise never to bring anything in with me.
